Prayer Focus: Praying For Our Nation, America! 

Dear FATHER GOD,

We praise YOUR NAME for YOU are worthy!  There is none like our GOD!  Father help us to stand in this ever changing world.  YOU LORD are omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent and YOUR Promises remain the same. YOU change NOT!  (Malachi 3:6)

THANK YOU for YOUR unfailing love.  We are grateful that no matter how far we wander, when we turn from our sin back to YOU, YOU are faithful to receive us back. (1 John 1:9)  Teach us how to worship YOU and live in faithful obedience as YOUR beloved people. 

According to 2 Chronicles 7:14, if we YOUR people, who are called by YOUR name, will humble ourselves and pray and seek YOUR face and turn from our wicked ways, then YOU will hear from heaven, and YOU will forgive our sin and will heal our nation.

According to 1 Timothy 2:1-4, we are to pray for ALL people, asking YOU for what they need with thanksgiving. We are to pray for rulers and all who have authority that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life; full of worship and respect for YOU. For this is good and it is pleasing in the sight of GOD our SAVIOR, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

We pray now for every person in governmental rule and by name we pray for President Donald J. Trump, we lift him up to YOU for his heart is in YOUR hands. Therefore, he can do no more than what YOU permit. YOU direct him, YOU speak to him, YOU turn him, and YOU use him LORD. (Proverbs 21:1) YOU alone be glorified for there is none above EL SHADDAI, ALL MIGHTY GOD!

There is no one on earth who can raise up another to grant honor, not from the east or the west, not from the desert.  There is no one; YOU are the ONLY ONE. (Psalms 75:6)  Give us a spirit of going to the least; going to those who don’t have.  We pray for humility to grip America right now, to bow down to who YOU are, YOU reign supreme for above YOU there is no other.

We pray that people of hatred turn on themselves and destroy themselves, we bind hated in this land!  We come against the sin of racism and injustice. Let love and justice reign and flow down like rivers.  FATHER GOD, YOU set this country upon a hill and blessed it to lead the world.  We ask YOU FATHER GOD to bring peace, deliverance, and justice.  Let us be the manifestation of YOUR witness in the earth! YOU ARE WELL ABLE TO DO IT!

WE worship YOU and praise YOU for we know the victory is ours!  We THANK YOU GOD for the victory in advance for what is yet to be seen. America will know that you are GOD and GOD alone. 

FATHER GOD in YOUR wisdom and YOUR will you have permitted us to be in this moment of history. YOU are in control. We are not shaking; we are not fearful. For we are full of POWER, and we holdfast in this position and call on YOUR name. YOUR Power demonstrates what YOU say!  YOUR WORD says…

Prayer for Bishop, First Lady and Family

God commands us to cover our spiritual leader with protective prayers. “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in the all godliness and reverence”.   1 Timothy 2:1-2.  Prayer and intercession allows us to strip the enemy of his territory and claim the harvest for God in our city. It is so imperative that we continue to cover our Bishop and follow him as he follows Christ.

Pray

Father right now in the Name of Jesus we lift up Bishop, First Lady and his family to you, we pray for protection against the enemy! Lord we pray that they will put on the FULL Armor of God using it against the assignment of the enemy, Lord, they will stand their ground, knowing that you are on their side!

Putting on the firm belt of truth and the body of armor of Your Righteousness!  We pray that they will put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that they are prepared at all times!  Father, we pray that they will put on the helmet of salvation, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is your word and it apply it daily In Jesus Name!! We pray that you will constantly fill him with Your Anointing, Power, Wisdom, Discernment, Guidance and Love!  Lord we pray that they will TRUST IN THE LORD with ALL of their WHOLE Heart and LEAN NOT to their Understanding, but seek God in all that they do! So that GOD will direct their paths.  In Jesus Name We Pray! Amen!

That the Lord will grant the enemies who rise up against them will be defeated before them.  They will try to come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven.

Do not cease giving thanks for you while making mention of you in my prayers. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him

Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.

Prayer for our Nation

Many of you have asked what you can do. It is coming. But for my preaching friends:

Might you consider beginning your worship tomorrow morning with prayer for our nation and the people of Charlottesville in particular?
Will you pray for the wounded. The healers. The witnesses. The warriors. and the dead inside? Will you pray for the families of those who have died? And will you call out white supremacy by name and rebuke it in the name of Jesus?

This is my request. For now.

Every church. Praying for the people in a particular way. Below is the prayer I plan for CTK:

Prayer of Lament (with verses from the Psalms, especially 19 & 74)

God of the cross and the lynching tree,
of the jail cell and the street corner,
of the bible study and the police car,
look upon the world you have made.
See how it is full of hatred and how violence inhabits the earth.

Gunshots ring out under the heavens that declare your glory,
singing the destruction of your children.
Do you not hear our songs?
How long, O God, will you keep silence?
How long will we fail to be your voice?

The streets and sidewalks of your dwelling place flow with blood,
pouring out the cries of your beloveds.
Do you not hear our cries?
How long, O God, will you keep silence?
How long will we fail to be your voice?

The breaths snatched from lungs swirl on wind that blew creation to life,
echoing with the last gasps of your dear ones.
Do you not hear our gasps?
How long, O God, will you keep silence?

The crashing of fire-licked windows mingles with the praise and prayers of generations,
shattering the refuge and safety of your sanctuaries.

In these days, as in days past,
our mothers and grandmothers have become mourners.
our fathers and grandfathers have become grievers.
our children have become wanderers in vacant rooms.
our kinfolk have become pallbearers.
our communities have become filled with empty chairs.
Remember the people you have redeemed, Holy One.
Remember the work of salvation brought about by your love.

You made a way out of no way for slaves to cross the sea on dry land.
Arise O God and defend your own cause.
Raise up in us the cries of outrage.

You made water to flow in the dessert for Hagar and Ishmael when they were driven out.
Arise O God and defend your own cause.
Raise up in us commitment to the long struggle for justice.

You cast out demons so that people might be restored to community.
Arise O God and defend your own cause.
Raise up in us the determination to drive out racism.

You witnessed the death of your Beloved Child.
Arise O God and defend your own cause.
Raise up in us the grief that cannot be comforted.

You brought new life from the crucifixion of state violence and the wounds of abandonment.
Arise O God and defend your own cause.
Raise up in us courage the to speak truth to power, and hope to hatred.

God of the ones with hands up and the ones who can’t breathe,
of those who #sayhername and those who #shutitdown,
of “we who believe in freedom” and we who “have nothing to lose but our chains,”
look upon the world you have made.
Do not forget your afflicted people forever
so that we might praise your holy name with joyful lips.  Amen.

This Week Prayer Focus:  Taking Authority and Power over your Life!

It is time TO WAR!!!  Our God Is So Awesome and He loves us so much that He has given us the Authority to Speak and Decree a Thing and it shall be SO!! 

So let us ARISE today with POWER and MIGHT and STOP the enemy in his tracks!! he is defeated!! he must throw in his flag and surrender!! We have the POWER to Dismantle every attack and trick that the enemy tries.

We must be Strategic in our Prayers!! Powerful prayer brings powerful results

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to stand up and take authority and call those things that be not as though they are!!  Lord help us to walk and talk in Authority, when we speak to those mountains, they shall come down!! We take authority over everything that would try to speak contrary to the word of God!  We cast down every vain imagination that exalts itself above the Word of God!   Lord give us the POWER to constantly hold up the shield of faith and declare the Word against the enemy’s attacks.  Lord we pray that we will continue to experience an overflowing abundant life using the keys that You have given us in Jesus Name!! It is So! Amen!

You shall decree a thing, and it will be established for you.  So light will shine on your ways.

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

Prayer for Back to School Prayer

Prayer Focus for Back to School Prayer Walk 

ANYTIME in August 

Directions: Walking the perimeter of the school(s) please repeat the following prayer and scriptures below. Add to it as you are lead to do so – call students/teachers you know by name! When you are finished, take a pic of your prayer team in front of the school and email to us at GO@nlicic.org or post on FaceBook and tag Dagne Barton or Bishop Dudley. Thanks for helping us cover the children and schools of the Metro East in prayer!

Here is the prayer:

Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you because you are all powerful and all-knowing God. We thank you because you have created us for greatness and so we know that with Jesus and Education, we are unstoppable! It is because of that we take this prayer walk on these grounds of _____________ school and the _________ school district. We stand in the gap right now in the name of Jesus for every student, every teacher, every administrator, every employee, every vendor, every coach, every parent, every person who will enter and exit these doors this school year. We ask that you order their steps and make their ways successful. We speak a hedge of protection around this school and ask that you keep all hurt harm and danger away, in the name of Jesus. We cancel the enemy’s plans for violence, the enemy’s plans for truancy, the enemy’s plans for home life distractions and EVERY HINDRANCE that will stop the education process. We thank you in advance for motivated and excited teachers; motivated and eagerly prepared students and motivated and cooperative parents right now Lord! We lift up the following according to your word concerning every student:

•Acts19:20 His Word prevails over Our Students

•Prov 2:6 God gives Our Students wisdom, knowledge & understanding

•1 Pet 1:14 Our Students are obedient, not conforming to distractions of the flesh

•1 Thes 4:1 Our Students abound more & more in living to please God

•1 Pet 5:5 You submit to your teachers and those in authority clothed in humility

•1 Pet 5:7 You cast your cares upon Him, because He cares for you

•2 Tim 1:7 Our Students don’t have a spirit of fear but power, love & a sound mind

•John 10:5 Our Students will not follow strangers, not knowing their voices

•2 Tim 2:22 Our Students abide with others who call on the Lord out of a pure heart

•Psalms 91:11 Angels are charged to accompany, defend & preserve Students

•James 4:8 Our Students draw near to God & He draws near to you to guide you through your day

•Hebrews 13:18 Our Students have a good conscience & desire to live honorably

•Luke 2:52 Our Students grow in wisdom, stature & favor with God & man

•Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against Our Students shall prosper

•Jeremiah 29:11 God has a good plan to prosper Our Students

• Phillipians 4:13 Our Students can do all things through Christ
